COB 300 Business Plan
COB 300 is a 12 credit hour course that integrates finance, operations, marketing, and management. This gives a holistic approach to learning about how businesses operate and how each discipline intertwines. Over the semester we were asked to come up with an idea and use the information from class to create a viable business plan. My group and I came up with Screen Genie. This product is a liquid screen protector infused with blue light blocking chemicals. It can be applied to anything with a screen to help customer prevent headaches and eye strain caused by blue light.
IMC Plan
In Integrated Marketing Communications we were tasked with creating the following IMC plan for a local company. My group developed a plan for Mulligan's to achieve its marketing goal of increasing sales by 20% by the end of 2024. This plan will run from January 1st to December 31st, 2024, targeting college students and families in the Harrisonburg and Bridgewater areas. The plan includes various campaigns, including social media, sponsorship, PR, support media, sales promotion, personal selling, direct marketing, traditional advertising, and digital marketing. The campaign's theme, "Good Times Are a Drive Away," aims to show that Mulligan's is a fun and easily accessible place to visit. Through a comprehensive evaluation program, the campaign's success will be assessed to ensure that the marketing goals are achieved within the overall budget of $20,000. Research conducted shows that college students and families are likely to engage in recreational activities, and Mulligan's offers an affordable, local option for those looking for outdoor entertainment.
